maddie draws a picture and eats a crayon

i came home from work today with a wonderful surprise. my lovely daughter has made me a picture. my husband was in the next room, folding laundry (shocking! lol.).

'oh maddie, you made me a picture!!'
husband yells from the next room 'yeah, we wanted to surprise you'
'it's so great. thank you' 'ummm...hey matt?'
'umm yeah hun'
'ummm...do you know that maddie ate half of the orange crayon?'

there is a bunch of orange crayola goo around my mouth and down my shirt? you don't say. I'm innocent. I swear. that was there before.

Seaflower & High Tide

I finally got Seaflower. Finally, finally, finally! Month, upon months of searching for her. And, what a great month!?! 3 grails have been obtained this month. Of course my French Sunlight w. freckles, Seaflower, &...High Tide!! I love how I've been wanting these girls for so long and I get them all in one month and they are all minty mint!

we went to the lake today. it was so nice to just be outside in the sun and to enjoy the water. maddie and the rest of the kids seemed to have a ton of fun and maddie had her very first ice cream cone!

and then of course, we had to try and take some group shot pictures, which of course no one stayed still for, but at least they all were happy instead of all crying for once, lol. here are a few of my favorites. my camera was being weird so hopefully someone else got some better pics.
