save the bees...no honey please!

recently i was asked, why is honey not vegan?

i gave the simple answer, vegans do not consume any products that are derived from any animal. bees do not make honey with the intention of human consumption, therefore to consume honey would, in essence, be an exploitation of the animal, which may also involve undue suffering to the bees. right?

well, yes, partly. but it was for the most part just a universal knowledge to me that vegans DON'T eat honey.

so off i went to go look it up and read up on it and i came across this section on bees from the Vegan Society website. i had no idea how horribly that bees were treated in the process of making honey!! for the love of bees, don't eat honey!!

she is being shipped all the way from down under (australia that is...hee hee), so i won't have her for a couple weeks. i can't wait until she gets here. i'm so excited!

i listed a few dresses in the etsy store yesterday (see side bar link)! the skully one is sold already (thanks nina! for the fastest etsy sale in the history of etsy, haha)...the others are still for sale. i also have a few more dresses still to list (including another skull one), i just can't take any good pictures right now because the weather outside is making for not so great lighting inside. So hopefully i will have them listed today. these next couple have a bit of a different look to them too.
