christmas eve morning...

santa came a day early, i think he heard that we were givin' out banana bread instead of cookies this year. of course we got no good pictures because there is no natural light at this time in the morning, but here's one funny shot for ya anyways...

a gift for joe

so, we decided this year to try and give gifts that were mainly either re-used, re-cycled, or handmade. i drew my Uncle in the secret santa and i decided to make him some reusable grocery bags for part of his gift. in total there will be 1 big one and 2 smaller ones that fit inside (for those smaller grocery stops).

i just finished the bigger one. i still have to sew the handles on to the smaller ones, but they should be finished tonight.

a bit about them...they are different shades of blue. they are all made of cotton canvas and are fully lined. the little bicycle patch is from Earth's General Store on Whyte Ave. and is on all 3 of the bags.

i really wanted to make something for him that was a bit more personal and more stylish than the ones you can buy for a dollar at the store. i hope he likes them...

christmas mail!

so, weird....i got post on a Sunday! in fact, me and matthew combined got 3 christmas parcels today!! i imagine they must be working around the clock trying to get everything out before christmas. in amongst the parcels, i got a gift from Aera Cura! Turns out she got my name in the swap, which funny becuase i got hers!

there is chocolate (gone), chocolate coffee (can not wait to try this), gummy bracelets, a snowflake ornament, a gnome ornament (at least i think it's a gnome...), a candle, and....get this, homemade soap! it smells really good AND it has Sunlight's symbol in it! how cool is that!?! I am so excited to try it!
and of course, PONIES!

I love them all, but I am especially so ecstatic about Wiggles. I have wanted her for so long and she has always been such a pain to hunt down. and...this one is the best pony of them all....

the etsy shop!

i opened a shop today on etsy! i definitely won't have anything to list until the new year, but it's exciting just knowing that it's there. the store will have a healthy dose of both vintage and handmade items. it won't be long! keep checking in!
